“Into the Blue” is a combination of love, treasure and Paul Walker and Jessica Alba in swimsuits.

There’s a little something for everyone.

The film follows Jared (Walker) and Sam (Alba), who live together in the Bahamas in a run-down trailer and a half-sunk boat.

They have day jobs at a local tourist attraction, but their real passion is searching for shipwrecks and treasure.

Jared used to work for a successful treasure hunter and neighbor, Bates (Josh Brolin), but is ready to find his own gold instead of helping someone else become rich.

The couple’s old friend Bryce (Scott Caan of “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Varsity Blues”), a dirty criminal defense lawyer, comes to visit with his new girlfriend, Amanda (Ashley Scott), whom he picked up the night before.

The foursome then decides to a do a little diving.

While they’re scurrying around underwater (with some flattering backside shots of Jessica Alba), the crew finds a few pieces of treasure that they believe could add up to something more.

However, when they do find more, their new discovery could lead them down the wrong path, despite the clean-cut morals of Jared and Sam.

This description may seem pretty vague, but the most surprising part of the film is the way the plot unfolds into something action-packed and even suspenseful.

It may sound like something you’ve already seen a few times, but it starts getting juicy when there are unexpected turns and deaths you probably did not see coming.

Still, you have to try and get through the indiscreet underwater breast grabs that Alba’s adversaries seem to take at every opportunity and the 30 full seconds of screen time devoted every so often to her sexy swimming.

hat and the super-cheesy acting that made me nauseated can put the film over the edge.

Yes, the audience gets that Jared and Sam are in love, yes they get that Sam is a goody-goody.

Thanks to Alba’s over-acting, the audience gets that a lot.

Even though Alba may seem obnoxious, she does not come close to Scott’s character, who made me grind my teeth in annoyance.

The fact that Bryce and Amanda are the foil characters of Jared and Sam comes in far too over-played.

And as much as I loved Caan in “Varsity Blues,” he wasn’t that convincing. Somehow, he was able to talk the straight-laced Jared into almost anything.

For as much time as the plot spent on giving his morals credibility, they sure did fall apart easily.

It is still admirable that there is as much time devoted to the plot line as there is instead of the big-money effects (that there are still plenty of).

So, if you see the movie, try to overlook the acting and the naughty Alba shots (unless you like that sort of thing) and you’ll probably find the movie enjoyable.

Especially if you are one of the Jessica Alba butt fans.
