Leslie Hitchcock is a junior from Cary, N.C..  This is her first year as Editor-in-Chief.  Leslie began at The Appalachian in fall of 1997.  Her claim to faim is being known as the tallest female Editor-in-Chief that the paper has had, towering over the others at a menacing 5'1".  She is a vegetarian and recently learned to swing dance, a hobby she really enjoys.  Leslie is a communication major with a concentration in public relations, and a minor in French. She hopes to work for a medium size daily newspaper upon graduation in the news department. Her ideal beat is state government.
