Sanford Mall was layered with Fraternity men and women Monday all for one young boy.

Jeremy Earp was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was seven years old.  From that moment, his mother Kim Earp, an employee of Cascades Cafe, and his family began the search for funding for the nessecary operations.

Insurence covered most of the expenses but the Earp family had to raise another $60,000.

Funding began with Jeremy’s grandmother starting a fund for him at NationsBank.  With the help of several area businesses, the Earps raised $20,000 but they still need $6,000.

The Rush Kickoff raised a total of $1,800 for the Earps’ bills and Panhellinic donated a remaining $200.

Prizes won from the raffle included; gift certificates to GAP, Backyard Burger, TCBY and Ruby Tuesday’s, an autographed football from the Carolina Panthers and an afghan donated by Molly Oats’ family.
