A Christmas tree in the student union allows Appalachian students to help others during the holiday season, as the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) works with Santa’s Toy Box to gather gifts for needy children in Boone.
Those interested may take an information sheet from the tree to select a child. There is no limit to the number or cost of gifts for each child. All gifts are to be brand new and may be purchased for a variety of children, from babies to teenagers. There is no need to wrap gifts.
All gifts should be brought to the APPS collection site in the student union by Dec. 10.
