SGA candidates need to step up
The Student Government Association presidential debate is supposed to be one of the hallmarks of the student body elections. It’s a night when students can hear each ticket’s views and proposals and decide for themselves which group most deserves the opportunity to be president and vice president.
Unfortunately, this year’s debate looked at lot like “Seinfeld:” it was a show about nothing.

Women's basketball outclasses men
Over Spring Break, I was lucky enough to attend the women’s ACC Tournament championship game: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill against Duke University.
It cannot get much better, especially considering it was my second chance to watch Carolina beat Duke on consecutive nights.
Personally, I would rather watch a women’s basketball game over an NBA game any day. I feel a lot of angry e-mails coming on, but I think most NBA players are over-glorified and overpaid, not to mention the little attention the league pays to quality defense.

What I learned in Harlem
I spent my week of Spring Break in New York.
No, I wasn’t shopping in Time Square or seeing Broadway shows; I was in Harlem working with 10 amazing individuals on an Alternative Spring Break trip.
The week was filled with incredible experiences and fascinating and friendly people.
