ASU indoor track & field aims for conference, national goals

The Appalachian State University indoor track & field program will look to repeat more of the same in the 2003-2004 season. The men’s team will look for a third straight Southern Conference Championship; while the women look to do the men one better in their quest for a four-peat.

Students visit the other side of the ponds with international programs

The Appalachian State University Office of Outdoor Programs is offering several international trips this coming summer.
Trips for students and faculty are offered to Fiji, New Zealand and Wales.

“We’re really excited about our international trips and we’re looking forward to having a great time,” sophomore Jaclyn Benzine said.

Football leads senior through trials and ultimately to larger calling in religion

Throughout the course of the football season, Appalachian State University sent out its three captains to midfield for the coin toss.

The captains were quarterback Richie Williams, defensive end K.T. Stovall and No. 37.

Or maybe to others it was Richie, K.T. and the short guy with blonde hair.

Jonathan David Chasteen may not have the notoriety of a star player, but hardly anyone has had a bigger influence both on and off the field in their career at Appalachian State.
