“Win A Date with Brad Norman” is over.

This whole idea was masterminded by Jessica Hines, our Production Editor and a hopeless romantic ,who got the idea from an away message I had on one night.

One of my friends was whining about not having a Valentine, I was whining about not having any money, and she suggested I be her Valentine and she would pay me.

Jess read the message and constructed the whole idea without really telling me what was going on. So imagine my surprise the next day when I walked into the newspaper office and everyone told me they loved the idea.

The kicker in this “game” was that I would have absolutely no say in who was picked, so naturally I was pretty nervous.
