Walls to represent Mountaineers in Senior All-Star Game Josh Dernosek

Mountaineer forward Emily Walls (8) was recently nominated and selected to play in the Division I Senior All-Star game Nov. 23.
    Two members of the Appalachian State University women’s field hockey team, senior midfielder Emily C. Walls and senior defender Emma S. Schaufele, recently received nominations to appear in the Division I Senior All-Star Game at their Final Four tournament in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, Nov. 23.
   Walls made the final cut and will play with the elite players in Division I.
   Walls’ offensive skill is what caught the eye of coaches around the Northern Pacific Conference (NorPac), in which the ASU field hockey team competes. She is second in scoring with seven goals this season.

       The Keydets of Virginia Military Institute march to Boone Saturday looking for a piece of the running action that Georgia Southern University and Wofford College had before them.
   The Mountaineers (6-3, 4-2 SoCon) come off a mediocre win over winless University of Chattanooga last Saturday 20-17, while the Keydets (5-5, 2-4 SoCon) are getting over another loss, this time handed to them by Western Carolina University 35-23.
