Only the zany,
unpredictable Boone weather could have prevented the Mountaineer
women’s rugby team from playing up to their potential this
season.
The Mountaineers, who are currently ranked No.
4 in the South, have only been able to practice a handful of times
this year due to the inclement weather that has plagued Boone throughout
the course of the school year.
Imagine your
favorite Appalachian State University athlete.
Imagine this athlete competing in an event like
an egg toss or a three-legged race.
Combine the competitiveness of varsity athletes,
pit them against each other in events much like a field day in fifth
grade, and the result is the Battle of the Sports.
