The Appalachian State University
womens basketball team won in convincing fashion Tuesday night
in the George M. Holmes Convocation Center 84-65.
The visitors from Wofford College kept the game
respectable at the onset but as the first half progressed and the
Mountaineers began to push the tempo, the Terriers just did not
have enough fire power to contend with Appalachian.
Led by two underclassmen, Kiki Conyers and Lindsey
Smith, the Mountaineers showed why the Southern Conference is going
to have to worry about Appalachian in the future. Conyers led all
scorers with 23, while Smith was not too far behind with 22.
