On-campus housing meetings next week

   The Resident Student Association (RSA) in each residence hall will hold a series of meetings beginning Jan. 27 to address reclaiming procedures for on-campus housing for the 2003-2004 academic year.
   “[Students, who are encouraged to attend the meetings, should] pay attention to the due dates. If not, they may miss their opportunity to reclaim,” said Winkler Residence Hall resident director (RD) Miguel A. Hernandez.
Robbins: Annex will be pedestrian friendly

   A planned expansion to the existing Miles Annas Student Services Building will help cope with the expected student increase, said Dr. Clyde D. Robbins, director of construction and design.
   The project, slated to begin in June of this year, will create additional offices and mailboxes for the projected growth.
Budget cuts not to affect summer sessions

   Budget cuts should not affect summer course offerings, Assistant Director of Summer Sessions Gail G. Hauser said Friday.
   The summer schedule of classes is now available through AppalNET, and course booklets should arrive in student mailboxes early next month, Hauser said.

   In his first semester at Appalachian State University, Howard R. Schreiber, originally from Atlanta, not only dealt with classes but also became one of the most active senators in Appalachian’s Student Government Association (SGA).
   At the end of last semester, Schreiber, one of the two senators from East Residence Hall, was given the Senator of the Semester Award for his efforts.
